1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using High-School.ca ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
High-School.ca is an Ontario Ministry of Education inspected private school offering accredited Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) courses online.
2. Eligibility
To enroll in our courses, you must:
- Be at least 14 years of age (students under 18 require parent/guardian consent)
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Have access to a computer with reliable internet connection
- Meet any course-specific prerequisites
3. Course Enrollment and Payment
3.1 Enrollment
Upon successful payment, you will receive access to your enrolled course(s). Course access is granted for a period of 12 months from the enrollment date unless otherwise specified.
3.2 Payment
All fees are listed in Canadian Dollars (CAD). Payment is required in full before course access is granted. We accept major credit cards and other payment methods as displayed during checkout.
3.3 Refund Policy
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied with your course within 30 days of enrollment and have completed less than 25% of the course content, you may request a full refund. Please see our Refund Policy for complete details.
4. Academic Integrity
Students are expected to maintain the highest standards of academic integrity. This includes:
- Completing all assignments independently unless group work is specified
- Not sharing login credentials or course materials with others
- Properly citing sources in all written work
- Not using unauthorized aids during assessments
Violations of academic integrity may result in grade penalties, course failure, or dismissal from the program without refund.
5. Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)
High-School.ca is inspected by the Ontario Ministry of Education and authorized to grant OSSD credits. To earn the OSSD through our school, students must:
- Earn 30 credits (18 compulsory, 12 optional)
- Complete 40 hours of community involvement
- Pass the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT) or the Ontario Literacy Course (OLC4O)
Credits earned are transferable to other Ontario secondary schools and recognized by Ontario universities and colleges.
6. Student Responsibilities
As a student, you agree to:
- Complete coursework within specified deadlines
- Communicate promptly with teachers regarding questions or concerns
- Maintain respectful communication with staff and fellow students
- Report any technical issues that affect your learning
- Keep your account information secure
7. Intellectual Property
All course content, including videos, documents, assessments, and other materials, are the intellectual property of High-School.ca or its content providers. You may not reproduce, distribute, or share course materials without written permission.
8. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
9. Limitation of Liability
High-School.ca provides educational services on an "as is" basis. While we strive for excellence, we do not guarantee specific outcomes or results. Our liability is limited to the amount of tuition paid for the specific course in question.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the website. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.
